Das Cormorant Cabin bietet eine Unterkunft in Parys at Otters Haunt. Hier sind Sie umgeben von Wasser, Wäldern und Bergen im wunderschönen Vredefort Dome, der zum Weltkulturerbe gehört. Wir sind 2 km von Parys und 120 km von Johannesburg entfernt, ein praktischer Zwischenstopp.

Unterkunft mit Selbstverpflegung

Die Cormorant Cabin thront auf einer Anhöhe und bietet Platz für vier Gäste in zwei Schlafzimmern. Das erste Schlafzimmer ist mit einem Doppelbett und das zweite Schlafzimmer mit zwei Einzelbetten ausgestattet. Es gibt ein Badezimmer mit Badewanne, Toilette und Waschbecken sowie eine separate Außendusche.

Die halb geschlossene Veranda verfügt über eine Küchenzeile mit einem Arbeitsplattenofen, zwei Kochplatten, einer Mikrowelle, einem Kühlschrank, einem Wasserkocher, Geschirr, Besteck usw.

Es gibt Braai-Einrichtungen und Sitzgelegenheiten im Freien.

The Cormorant Cabin is perched on a koppie and sleeps four guests in two bedrooms. The first bedroom is furnished with a double bed and the second bedroom is furnished with two single beds. There is a bathroom fitted with a bath, toilet and basin and a separate outside shower. The semi enclosed veranda has a kitchenette fitted with a counter top oven, two hot plates, a microwave, fridge, kettle, crockery, cutlery etc. There are braai facilities and outdoor seating.

Mixed feelings about the stay - the chalet is comfortable, it was peaceful, quiet and secluded and the 2 border collies were a plus. Karen was friendly and tried her best. However: 1. Communication was poor: - I had no reply to my query beforehand, and had to phone to get instructions on how to enter the property, -Communication about the venue was inadequate/misleading/confusing - in the advert it was stated that the power supply was uninterrupted (solar power), but according to 2 different notices stuck to the walls, power would be switched off late in the evening. We were unprepared for that, and luckily I did not need to use my medical device that evening. It then transpired that the supply was not cut during the night. 2. Accessibility for people with mobility issues - The advert does not indicate that the entrance to the bathroom is outside and had to be reached via outside stairs. -The stone steps leading to the braai area is uneven and my friend nearly lost his balance. - Access the bathroom for occupants in the second bedroom is via the main bedroom. 3. Attention to detail/general preparedness. - We ran out of gas whilst making our first cup of coffee. The gas cylinder should have been checked beforehand. - Although the basic kitchen was adequate, there were no kitchen towels, dish cloths or a braaibak. - According to the notices, battery lights are provided - we could not find any. - Only the second bedroom has a lock and key to the outside door Venue has great potential though.
